| 996 SPS Replacement Tachometer Problem
I am having to replace the clocks on my '99 996 SPS because of crash damage. I have recently bought a replacement set of clocks from ebay which look in great condition, everything works apart from the tachometer. The seller insists they were working when they came off his bike and I am lost as to why they will not work. I have changed the wiring loom off my old clocks and I still cant get tachometer to work. I know bike loom works because old clocks still work and register despite damage.
The clocks I have bought did not come from 996. Are there different tachometers or circuit boards inside Ducati clocks which may cause this problem? |
