One thing I absolutely hate and dread is being rushed in preparation. Changing weather is always going to be a challange being rushed makes it 4 times worse. The sky high tyre pressure is a typical example of this. And, there was two of you. On your own, it'd be far worse!
The drive home, when it all sinks in, is probably the worst bit. Adrenalin gone and all that time to think.
I was supposed to be racing at Croft last month but missed the entry deadline. The weather was exactly the same as you had at Pembrey. Both of my mates crashed, gail force winds, caravans blowing over, etc. In retrospect, I don't mind I missed that first meet.
