| There is going to be an underlying problem, either with throttle balance, fuelling or ignition timing that needs to be sorted. All that raising the tickover speed will do is to mask this as well as losing some of your engine braking on a closed throttle.
I'd suggest a bit of time making sure that all of your above settings are spot on first.
