| 916 & Bellowing sound from fuel pump?
Went out today got stranded, took a while for the old girl to start today, put it down to lack of use. Went for a spin.
She (916 1998 Bip) lost power and stopped. Lots of petrol but the tank was making a bellowing noise. Pump is moving but seems no fuel. Bike started a few times but kept stopping.
Could it be blocked filters? If so where are they and is it easy to check. The noise is a really loud bellow as if the pump is desperately trying to suck and is not getting anything? I am thinking filter blocked? Any other scenarios? Ta |
