My cut and shut arm is the same length as the Mag arm as such it does move the weight bias forward but not by quite as much as it is not as light as the mag arm
It does have some advantages though as you can use it with the standard rocker and a slightly reworked shock as the lower shock mount is in the original position, mine is coupled to a Panske shock that was built for a standard 916 arm and has been tweeked to suit the longer arm without having to resort to any new parts or a rebuild.

My arm is one of a batch done by Spondon Engineering who have made a very nice job of it, they cut one arm in two and then cut a section out of another arm, remove the back off it and weld them together including internally, then the bcak is welded back on. All very neat and with the carbon protector on nobody notices its been done
