I can't comment on the latest Michelin's, but I've been pretty impressed with my Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's. Stable and with a more than respectable rate of wear. Temperatures across the last summer were pretty poor, so I doubt that (personally) I would've gained any real benefits here (Scotland) from a softer(?) compound tyre, or at least a tyre that would be 'optimal' at a higher operating temperature*. *I say this, as I (could quite wrongly be) assume that any 'near-slick' tyre is going to be designed for fast road/track day use, where operating temperatures are higher, yes? |
