| That'll teach me not to look on here more often as I would have joined you on that day had i known.I used to go to Thorney Island a few years ago with the likes of Benelli dave(desmo dave now) and Red-leader and do a few runs.One year,i took my 748R and got through a whole set of clutch in about 12 runs and on the very last run managed a 10.91 @123 MPH on her,the real problem being that the slipper clutch was just horrible to launch.The following year i took my old snotter of an '98 R1 and did a 10.68 @134 MPH which was even more exciting to launch due to wheelie problems.Lots of people think that because it a straight line race,its easy.It realy isnt as its all about controlling the front wheel and found it really addictive too.
If you do it again,let us all know in advance as i will take my '08 Blade and Dave will bring his D16RR for a few shakedown runs(we both think that sub 10 second runs are posible) and who knows maybe we can persuade the old fella(dementor) to run his 848 evo.
