| They can be a complete pain in the arse. Put a rag partially through the filler hole (to protect your fingers). Insert two fingers and keep pulling up, working your way around the hole keeping pressure on with your fingers.
Eventually it will come out and nearly smack you in the mouth.
Basically its a matter of overcoming a rubber o ring in a groove
