| Ian - If the fuel filter is blocked it puts extra strain on the battery/charging system since the pump is running more often and thus drawing more electrical load. My own bike had a clogged filter some time before I bought it (according to the history/service log), and when a new one was fitted, the 'flat battery' syndrome it was prone to was miraculously cured! Strange but true. |
