Don't know - he said (and you can see from the pics) that it was covered in mud and quite a few bits missing already. He checked the parkland opposite but couldn't see any tyre tracks, so didn't think the owner had come off anywhere near.

I'm not sure how the locks work on Ducatis so can't say if there would be anything to gain drilling/screwdrivering the lock.
