| incidentally, i'v just bunged on some (really old) tyres i had kicking around from the despatching era.....namely a d220 180/55 and a front dunlop sportsmax 120/60 (state of the art tech, circa 1992!)
I know - horrible, but i've got some d211's on the way and i'm saving them for trackday at beginning of may.....
so - 60 profile on the front.......ultra rapid steering compared to utterly knacked d209's....and i've got within 5mm of the edge of back tyre without any hint of squirrellyness on the first excursion. Bizzarre. I'd have expected them to start misbehaving and be generally vile, but so far so good.
incidentally, the VFR800's have these old tyres on from brand new! |
