0.9kg/m is a bit stiff for a monster, just about bearable on a 996 for me (i prefer 0.85kg/mm), but the 996 not only carrys its headlight, clocks and fairing out front, but also positions more of your body weight over the front, so a fair bit of weight bias over the front.
Standard 996 springs would have been dual rate, which if using 996 forks in a Monster I would be looking at 0.8kg/mm (8.0nM/mm) linear single rate springs
