| I did get on the Brands evening track day, in the 'very' novice group, it did wonders for my confidence, made me feel like a 'real racer' I had people all night coming over saying things like f'kin 'ell your f'kin quick! and wow! what's that bike? and "oh" when I say its an old SS with 60bhp.
I spoke to Ian Cobby while I was there, he's a friendly and helpful chap.
I spent Monday morning modifying my thumb brake bracket to make some more room to raise the forks a bit, I managed to raise them by a further 12mm.
I really had a problem getting round the corners at Snett, both the long fast ones and more surprisingly the hairpins. my mid corner speed was much slower than other people, who came flying past several times. I felt all the time like the front was pushing out mid corner.
I think it was better at Brands, but I don't really know until I'm on track with you guys again.
