Good point...I'm the newbie...what is the obsession with open clutches?
I guess it mimics the racers, that run with no covers?
In terms of this one, the half vs full makes no difference - it's strong enough to protect the clutch in a fall. But in a real crash it's the debris entering any open cover is going to cause the issue.

So will ponder that one......swop covers before a track day mebbe?

Back to the shopping. Couple of obvious bits acquired.....

Not having acquired much by way of carbon before, there is a certain pleasure in receiving these v. lightweight parcels. The bubblewrap weighs more than the bits

And a spot of metal bashing too....used the workshop at work to have a go at an oil cooler cover. Took the fairing V piece in and bent/bashed/snipped to shape myself. Had access to a lead shot bag and copper mallets etc. Sprayed up black. Haven't attached it yet so there may be some more tweaks to get the fit right. It's pretty snug so isn't going to move around.

Will have a go at a radiator guard at some point...got enough mesh to do one. Just need to think of a way to edge it and attach it. Tie wraps?
