| No charge lamp
I broke down a couple of days ago the engine lost power then died, a quick roadside check proved the battery was flat. So far I have only had time to remove the fairing and recharge the battery, I then checked the charging lamp and this is not illuminating, I have tested the bulb and it is OK so there is something else amiss. Previously when I have had the Reg/Rec pack up the red charge lamp has glowed dimly, but this time there was no indication of a problem.
I would add that the battery is just 6 weeks old and is a Varta which I have found to be pretty good in the past, any ideas as to where the problem is would be most welcome before I start pulling things apart.
