| I don't know if its the same, but on my 999 the side fairings have a male locating pin on them, the female that was not on the updated carbon nose cone I had.
Its tricky to replicate where the holes should be drilled so I removed the locating pin itself. It seems they were only present on the grey swing arm models.
No issues after that.
