And last of the shopping for now....have bought a 749r tank and new carbon tank pad. Gains me a whole 3 litres..... Will be interested to see how it changes the look of the bike. It is tricky to see the difference from looking on the bench to looking at the bike. Looks like Ducati mod' was to cut the top off and raise by an inch or so. I'm told the bigger tank was due to WSS rules being tighter than WSB i.e. the WSB boys could change the tank, the WSS couldn't.

Got a fresh fuel filter and O-ring to swop the fuel pump across. Inside of this tank is fresh and rust free too Don't imagine there are any tricky steps, but if any you experts have knowledge, do let me know.

Oh and I'll get some of that clear vinyl to protect it....never applied any of that before......

Right - garage time needed.
