Speedymoto have just brought out their own bungs.
Much the same as the R&G but with a twist. Two types of bung are available. The usual, big ones that need the fairing drilling but them a smaller flatter mushroom that sits behind the fairing.
Yes, you will do the fairings but the cases, clutch etc. still get protection.

My only slant on the R&G bungs is that they rely on the bolt to mount the bung and i've seen these snap. That goes and so does the bung.
The Speedymoto ones use a short bolt and the bobbin sleeves over the mount, so the plastic stays in place and takes the wear.
