sort of related, but a mate of mine bought a brand new SLK recently... and the list of issues he's has is absolutely ridiculous!! He's in discussions to hand it back to merc as it's so bad.
I have a 2006 CLK with 80k+ on the clock, and it is perfect, as most people would expect from a modern era German saloon.
You always get the odd bad bike/car or whatever, which is talked about 1000 times. The 1000 bikes/cars that are fine rarely get brought up
