| All depends on the staff at the PO. They do appear to have an element of discretion. As long as they are happy with the docs you present thats all that matters, Just go in and see what happens, the worst they can do is say no.
They check some kind database for MOT and maybe insurance but it's not alwyas up to date. Taxing a bike earlier this year they were concerend that the bike I was taxing didn't appear to have an MOT on their database but when the main man was summoned he just asked the oppo if they were happy with the docs presented, they were and got the bike taxed.
