| I did some research myself a month ago and came across two other lap timers which seem to have pretty good reviews (also in USA).
1) MyChron Light TG
2) Ultra-lap XT Lap Timer
I personally like the MyChron for its slick design and the option of a blue back-light display. They both have download capabilities via USB.
