World Ducati Week 2014 - 20 years of Ducati 916 Celebrate 20 years of the Ducati 916 at World Ducati Week 2014 One of the highlights at this edition of the WDW will be a tribute to the Ducati 916, the bike that won everything there was to win in the SBK World Championships throughout the nineties and into the noughties. In 2014, join us to celebrate 20 years of this legendary bike.
A special area will be set up to look back at one of Ducati's most successful motorcycles. The Heritage area and the Ducati Museum will be dedicating much space to a competition icon which has never ceased to represent everything Ducati means: passion, performance and design. And it would not be possible to celebrate the Ducati 916 without paying due tribute to the rightful father if this epic motorcycle, Massimo Tamburini, who sadly died in April this year.
Ducati 916 owners will benefit from a special parking area at WDW2014 and we invite all Ducatisti to recall the 916 by enjoying the models on display and attending seminars centred around the legendary 916 and its amazing record of achievements. Just come along and meet former Ducati riders from the SBK World Championship such as Troy Bayliss, Carlos Checa, Pierfrancesco Chili, Giancarlo Falappa, Carl Fogarty and Doug Polen.
