Funny that you should ask that as I did a check of part numbers for the opening and closing rockers on the ST4s, 996, 748, 749, 999s, 998, 999. (ww.Ducati.com)
All opening and closing rockers on 996 (2000), ST4s (2001-2004), 748 (2000-2002) are the same part numbers.
However 749, 999s, 999 (2003-2004) are different part numbers with the opening rockers on the 2004 749s different again.
One could thus assume that hopefully "flaky rocker syndrome" on the testastretta motors has been resolved.
I'm new to this site and am looking at buying a 749s next year, however the horror stories on this board have lead me to do some research before forking out hard earned cash |
