| I posted the exact same problem a few weeks ago with my Renthal sprocket and carrier.
I too have about 5mm lateral play. All cush drives are good. I decided in the end that the circlip grove is causing the problem for me. What is basically happening is the sprocket and cush drives are all moving in the carrier. I think the circlip groove is effectively less distance from the outer edge of the assembly that the OEM one giving it a bit of play.
Doesn't seem to cause me any problems and has put up with a trackday thrashing.
