With the first 620 engine now only needing the Alternator cover fitting (need to get some more liquid gasket) I decided to strip a 583 bottom end I recently bought off Ebay. The cases need throwing as the rear engine mount is damaged beyond repair. The Crank will go into another 583 engine I have where the Alternator came loose and damaged the end of the crank. The remainder will come in handy when I rebuild the ex James Thompson/Chris Woods 583 DD engine Some bikes have expensive gasket sets required for a rebuild but not our DD bikes so helps keep the costs of a rebuild down Checkout the Desmo Due Paddock on Facebook |
