| The other 'up and coming' option we looked at Rob was Calabria in Southern Italy - up and coming but not developed yet and not much to do as its essentially a farming region (ruling it out with 2 young kids) and flights are still pricey. But if I didnt have kids and wanted a longer term punt thats where my money would be going. There is a company we looked at with a good website and were doing inspection trips for £25 each !!
On that note - i'd really recommend inspection trips. I've been on two now - very professional and no pressure and its like a mini holiday !! They just drive you around looking at places you want to see and ensure you have plenty of free time to get to see the country your visiting
