| I have also heard the 749/999 commanders are all the same except for the maps. Also, on the ECU's, they only get locked to your bike if you code it by using the red key. If you stick a new ECU in and never use the red key, your bike will never know the difference and you can pull it out at any time and stick it in another bike. I feel the performance ECU is a rip-off to begin with and I am thinking about trying to see if Ducati will refund me the value of the ECU that came with my exhaust system. Justification...the new ECU required two tuning sessions at the dealer (a very reputable one at that) and the bike is still lacking, thus making a PCIII mandatory IMO. Wonder if I have a chance?? |
