| It will be a whole new engine like the 1098, but based on the previous generation tech'. I reckon it will have 749R type power i.e about 120bhp and 749R type engine geometry (which is also particularly oversquare).
I would like Ducati to go a bit further though and make it unique in its own right rather than it be seen as a smaller version of the 1098 which, is summat the 748 and 749 has always suffered from wrt the 916 and 999.
I'm tempted by a 1098, but on the roads I ride on it has far too much power and is unlikely to be particularly satisfying for me. A 748 is too fast, but conceivably I could consider an 848. |
