Here's mine...
Having bought my first Ducati (an early 900ss) I rode it the 30mls home without a prob. I thought it was brill - so much 'grunt' compared to the Honda 400 I'd given in p/x. Anyway, turning into my garage block at a decent speed, I was caught out by the limited steering, and crashed it straight into the wall opposite! Luckily, I was trapped between it and the wall, and my torso took most of the impact. I was so winded I couldn't move at all, and the neighbours were quick to gather round. It took three of them to pull me free. Embarrassing? I've never lived it down!! |
