I should have the mount and the breather (standard pipework of KN filter?). Not sure what's a woodruff key but if it's something from a 583 I might have one. Will pop in the shed tomorrow to have a look.

Toni, it is the slug of metal that fits in the groove on the crankshaft spindle to prevent the alternator stator spinning on the spindle. Some keys are 1/2 moon shaped but the one you are looking for, is approx 25mm long and it is parallel, approx 3mm thick.

If it is 3mm square then a possible alternative (no pun intended)

Is the pick up mount a moon shaped thingy?
If so, I think I have one too.
