Careful Ray-you are making far too much sense.

Dom-"and the chairs by the... well you know"-thanks for that mate, I wondered what it was I was supposed to be doing, now I know-the chairman gets to do the chairs at the AGM-simple innit!

I'm sure many of the MT members know more than 30 people.

I don't leave the house much, but I could name you 100+ people that I know.

Are you saying that Chris consults the MT on every Treasury issue?

or Lizzie does the same when a new member comes along?

Come on Ray, you're picking silly holes.

Is this some sort of initial sounding with a view to declare independance from the club that resourced the set up of the championship?

I'm not even going there.

or do you mean no other DSC responsibilities?

The latter.

Why cant there be one person on the RC who is elected by the Riders in the DD........??..major issues are polled and riders consulted.?..majority rules...

that person then only has the DD to worry about.?...and not have a split personality over DSC and DD issues that sometimes are not the same..!!...not suggesting a split from dsc merely suggesting the possibilty to of load some of that burden from the RC who as dom has said other responsibilites.?..

no.?

surely 1 person acting with the riders interests with no other responsibilties is better positioned to negotiate and drive proactivetly the series forward.....

?

I agree we are part of dsc no matter what anyone says or does. I do see a need to allow the dsc members time to do their dsc work whilct one individual could be left to the day to day running of dd. Seems simple ?

No are you??

Come on Ray, you're picking silly holes.

Picking holes I am, whether they are silly or not is a subjective judgement based on a point of view.

I'm not even going there.

Is that a yes or no?

The latter.

Sensible

Turn the forum off then!

The one you set up or this one??

Thanks for your input. Very useful indeed.

It was no trouble, thank you for thanking me,

Thank You again,

So after that entertaining but pointless interlude, can we get back to the thread...
  • Rules Unchanged
  • NO 695's
  • 6 UK rounds - 12 races
  • 1 Assen round - no points
  • No 'long' race
  • ALL points to count
  • 1 person to run the series
  • Trophies - yes please

Domfli,

Don't be so hard on yourself, there's some good suggestions there.

I have another completely unrelated question that I won't clutter this thread with.

Ray.

Ray, I think you're being a bit harsh mate.

Dom has done some good things for the club and DD and is keen to help. Why do we keep discouraging this and then we hear rumblings about not enough volunteers!

Also, I think it's unfair to describe Dom as high maintenance.

Relax dude, I'm about to meet Troy Bayliss

this thread is not about Dom .....................

Lets get away form the " visordown " replies for a brief moment shall we...!!!

lets see if we can get some debate over the DD and what we feel is the best for the series mooving into 2007.................

i mean how about we arrange a riders meeting to discuss the DD for 2007.???..........................

hows that for pro-active.!
