I dont want to spoil anyones enjoyment of their new termis but how do you know that theres no problems with the fueling on these bikes if you havnt fitted new ecu's or power commanders.
when my Leo Vinci was fitted it came without a new ecu ,and it seem to run better than when standard ,but once it went on the dyno it was found to be running far to rich, meaning unbernt fuel was washing the bores.
The power commander trimmed 26%off at low revs and 17% at upper revs on average!

Sorry for the ignorance but I,m having the Termi end can fitted to my 749 at the next service with the filters and ECU, is that not enought to get it right? Why do people keep talking about Power Commanders?

Also what does everyone do about the MOT?

Would fitting a power commander to a bike still under warranty invalidated it ?

I've bought a Termi box, CAT replacement pipe and filters from Dementor on the board. Being a relative newbie, can I attempt fitting the kit to my 749 myself, or shall I take it to the professionals...?

tough one that mate,i enjoyed fitting mine, bout a hour or two work. its all down to how handy you are with tools etc, i think the 749 is a bit harder than the 998 to work on though

I'm OK with tools, its just whenever I take something apart, something always goes wrong when I'm puttin it back together!

Plus, I'm gonna have to get it set up, perhaps go down the route of a Power Commander...do you reckon simply adjusting CO levels will do?

Can anyone tell me whether a Termi half system off a 749'S' will fit onto a '04 749dark?I'm presuming the 'S' is an '03/'04 model(friend of a friend who might be selling).Just that one might be coming for sale and wasn't sure if they are interchangeable?According to Ducati Manchester's online shop they list the same kit part number for both bikes.

Cheers

Pete

Yes mate,if its off an '03/04 749S,it should go straight on.
Its the 999S that has a differant pipe to clear the deep sump.
