Hey there 999 , just the man I wanted to speak to.......

Where did you get the screen minus light hole from for your 999 , I ordered a double bubble one with no hole but when it came it was clear all the way to the front so you would see the wires etc and hole in the top of the headlamp housing , not pretty.

Hope you can help , cheers egg

Egg, It's a Ducati Performance Race Screen.
As it is more convex you will need to stick some foam between the inside of the screen and instument unit to stop the wind blowing into your face.
Looks nice on a Red one

Cheers Triplenine , the screen I have is from Skidmarx , very cheap , only £47 but very good quality apart from the lack of black panel at nose.
The dealer here is going to get the nose painted and see how it looks , if it's ok I will keep it , if not it goes back , i can't lose

Just fitted a powerbronze aeroflow sceen(£54 delivered) in a dark tint without the light superb quality. As its dark you can't really see the headlight casting but triple nine is right because of the increased hight, packing with foam cuts down the draught. Looks great on my Yellow! 749s

Got an MRA d/bubble from HPS which has a nice tint with a fader strip at the bottom which covers the instruments and looks really good with the light gone and no draughts.( £60.00 delivered )
The only down side was the MRA logo in the fader strip which was easily covered from underneath with a bit of black paint or marker.
I can well recommend this screen.

Hi y'all
We have just traded Monster 900 for 749 and may wish to fit higher screen. I would like to know which one of these works best at taking the wind off without either pushing your helmet up against your face &/or trying to rip your head off your shoulders due to the upward blast. Would like to ride not in a total crouch at above 90 as I have to do on our 748 with standard screen.

Yoiur views most welcome.
Cheers
Peter

For me the standard screen was way too low.I could'nt get a clear view of the idiot lights around the tach. The top ones were viewed through the top of the screen and the lower ones from underneath. The screen trim obscured the middle ones!I also didnt like the parking light.
I have fitted the MRA double bubble, which is a quality bit of kit.I can see the idiot lights and the parking light is gone. The bike now looks as the designer intended.Wind blast is improved over the standard one.Result! And it was half the price of the Ducati Performance item.
