Mmmmmm the 2004 R1 is pretty damn sexy too - bit pricier though - found brand new zx-10s for £5200 in Canada!

Now to find a way of getting round the VAT... any accountants on here?
Apparently if a international company transfers its goods from one country to another, they don't pay the VAT and Import duty?? So, if I were to buy the bike under a company name and bring it over, do ya reckon its possible to get around it?

Speak to Paul (Ozz) about company accounts - he'll know.

You should be able to claim the VAT if it's used for businesses purposes in this country, and you may be able to write some of it off against tax too. This is what the guy who bought my bike new did.

The inconsistent clutch biting point suggests one of two poss failures from my experience, iether the master cylinder itself is worn allowing the seals to'slip' down the bore without sealing and not displacing the fluid or possibly a snapped clutch pushrod, can you borrow another master cylinder and try that? when annettes pushrod snapped the clutch biting point was really erratic (and there was me thinking 'she can wheelie better than me').
hope im not confusing the issue more

Dave, I spoke to Mav last night and he talked me through what to do next - he suspects it might be the slave cylinder gone - had a couple of interviews today so haven't had a chance to check yet, will hopefully have time later on... if it is the master cylinder, its finally given me an excuse to upgrade to radial cylinders

Antony mate, my thoughts exactly, my dad has a registered company for tax purposes etc, so just need to find out the details now, like what constitutes 'business use' etc... will have a word with Ozz and see what he thinks

Is it only me who thinks the ninja looks funky in orange?

'Funky' is not the word I'd have used...
