Nothing to do with me - I found whilst browsing. It's a 748R taken out to 872cc and it's has the ports tidied up. What a stonking engine!

That article along with others from Sigma engineering and Moto one were some of the reasons I turned my old 748 into an 853. Until I went 996sps power.

Cracking little engine. I plan to put it into a track bike I am building up at the moment.

That 872R is more than a 996sps is real life though, isn't it?

It looks like it doesnt it. I take it that the 996sps has around 125bhp? I bet a lot of money and set up time had gone into that modded 748R engine.
Still, when I get some time in, get used to the 996sps and its quirks. I will have had time to see whats its like, compared to my old 853. I have rode it briefly and it ROCKS!!

I have serviced the sps lump but I plan to strip it properly next winter, time permitting and give it a careful rebuild and set up. Set the squish, play with the cams etc etc.

Funny, I had planned to do that this winter but things have got in the way!! Never mind.

DC.
