You could always have a laser cut stainless steel plate made and have the numbers punched in !

A bit like a dog tag>

I have seen it done proffesionaly and it looked ACE

It was the first thing that was going thro my head when i saw the lack of frame no. and the panic set in but am quite calm now as i know it can be restamped by dealer (hopefully)...
just crapped myself (not literally)i suppose
