Fuel Light

Hi,
RE 1000DS SS
I am having continuing problems with my fuel light coming on when full.
I believe it is an electrical fault in the connectors or dash.
I have unplugged and cleaned most connectors and still have this problem
Any ideas? anyone else have this problem?

If it is wired anything like the one on my 600SS then it would have to be the level switch in the tank. The lamp is powered through the switch rather than earthed so the lamp coming on couldn't be because of a wiring fault.

fuel light and spares

hi,
Having reported to my ducati dealer that I had checked the wiring etc and that the fuel sender was faulty, AND booking it in for its 24 month service... they now inform me that the fuel sender is faulty and needs replacing Duh!, but it is out of warranty by a few days :-( And that i will have to pay for this repair!!!

Where is a good place to by Ducati spares from in the UK? (mail order)
Any "good" Ducati dealers in the Worcestershire/Malvern area?

Why not write to DucatiUK - If it is out of warranty by only a few days, but you found the problem earlier (and talked to the dealer about it by the sound of things) they may well be sympathetic.
