2005 749 £1300 off ???
I've been thinking about chopping in my S4 for a superbike and i've just seen this on motorapido's website..

new 749 bp, 2005 unregistered, uk official, with new swingarm style, new fairing style etc but with grey frame, grey wheels, and red pillion seat. I thought the 05 bikes had red frames and black wheels??

anyone know if this is a genuine bike, import maybe? says it is offical uk.

The appealing thing is the price, its £7490 before haggling!

just want to know what i'm buying, anyone got one of these?

Talk to Wilf or Steve at MR - they'll give you the full SP

Must be a bitsa special from the factory made with left over '04 frames/wheels and '05 swingarms/fairings.

As I have mentioned in a couple of previous posts, my brother bought an 05 749bp ( Red Frame etc ) for a touch over £7000 and that was 4 months ago from a Ducati main dealer, 0 miles pre-registered.

A new 749 at £7000 (ish) Where was that???

see you are quite far north but i dont mind traveling for a deal like that!!!!

i've tried searching the posts for your details of this deal but cant find it.

maybe my new bike's on the way soon then

quick silly question, what does pre registered mean? is it ex demo?

Nope, means it's already got a reg number and the warranty is ticking away. Usually done so the dealers hit sales targets at the end of a month, or quarter, or whatever.

Happens with cars a lot too.

Yes twinfan is spot on, the dealer registered the bike for whatever reason ( To hit targets = big bonus or meant to be their demo, but wasnt ? )
Either way my brother was not bothered he got a great deal, just checked with him it was £7100 he got it for at M & S Newcastle, a Ducati main dealer ( Gary,Sales manager 0191 2610121, ext 1 I think )
I think this was a one off deal, right place ,right time sort of thing but if you have no p/ex it costs nothing to ask ( mention Ian, he knows me well )
I do not know if they have sold all of their allocation yet or not.
