Just interested in why you don't want to use OEM Ducati Parts? If it's purely based on price then you run the risk of getting a sub-optimum part which is false economy if/when it goes wrong!

For example, I like using the K&N Oil Filter. It's double the price of an OEM Ducati one (approx £10 vs £5) but they are a better quality filter (open them up if you don't believe it!!) and they have the added benefit of having a nut on the end which more than justifies the extra cost when it comes to getting the filter off - just use a socket drive rather than sticking a screwdriver through it and making a mess of everything!!

Oil Filter
You can buy pattern filters that fit, the DOCGB has a list here: http://www.docgb.org/interlist.html and you can pickup 2CV filters for a couple of quid.

Timing Belts
I don't think there's any equivalent that I know of.

Air Filter
This is the cylindrical one? MotoRapido will sell you oem for under £20. The Pipercross "performance" filter is under £40 but as it is reuseable you would only need to clean it twice to make it cheaper than replacing OEM.

Fuel Filter
Same as 916, should be under £20 as oem. Equivalent is a Mahle "KL 24/1" which retails at £18.99 each. Not aware of any cheaper ones.

Spark Plugs
These are DCPR8E, or any equvalent, as per the owner's manual. You can pick these up for as little as £2.50 each off ebay and are used in lots of Fiats and others. A good saving here for the same item as I think they're about £6 from Ducati in a nice Ducati box!

Crikey are they still using the old metal one I would have thought they would have moved to the plastic ones by now

My Hyper has the later KL97 plastic one so I expect that they have migrated but the part number quoted was for the older (and larger) metal one.
