danger

when filling up at my local morrisons i didnt realize that i had riden through oil .as i gased out of the junction the back end tryed to take over the front it **** the life out of me ..A lesson to be learned

Yep,good advice.
Also be wary of the first roundabout after a petrol station,....there are often petrol/diesel spills by folks overfilling thir tanks.

Apart from the obvious dangers of riding through an oil spill watch out for oil overspill at the fill point within a couple of feet of the pump.

The filler pipes on the Wayne autocourt fillers (which are just about most of the UK ones) are designed to fill a vehicle with the filler opening on the opposite side of the vehicle next to the pump - in other words - they're looooong - so when you pull up to fill, park the bike nearly a cars width away from the pump and avoid the plonkers spillage.
