Help please guys. I have a 996r with a Bucci slipper. I want to grease the ball ramp at the rear of the clutch housing so I made a tool out of my old clutch plates. When fitting the tool after I ve removed the plates it goes in but the nut Iam attempting to remove keeps spinning round
Is this because the clutch tool isnt far enough in to reach the back surface, Quick responce please as I need to get the old girl back together. Thanks Ian.
Stupid question maybe, but did you make your tool out of old friction plates or old plain steel plates? You have to use old steel plates so that the clutch centre is held, not the outer basket.
Would I get away with tack welding a steel clutch plate onto the existing tool. Otherwise I am going to have to source some old plates and start again.

The only problem with that is all the pressure will be excerted on one spot. Seeing that the hub center is ergal and the pressure of the steel plate could damage you drum.
