What can I get?

Hi Everyone
I am looking to sell or trade my 900ss FE for an S4 Monster. Does anyone have a real estimate of what I can get for the FE?
I have the original and carbon Sils exhaust for it. I has some 14.5k miles, and it look like you would expect for its age (1997).
Thanks for the advise.
Cheers
Miguel

Hi Migs,

Long time no see.

I'd suggest something like £2.2k - £2.5k for the FE but you might get a touch more if you find someone that really wants one. Best to sell the bike / cans seperately as the cans are worth £200 on the side.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for the advise, and the unexpected interest in my FE. I will post a summary history and pics later today.

Hi Everyone,
A fe more details for you to help me know what I could get...

The bike is a 900ss FE Silver #423. It was first registered in 1999, and was noted as being 'declared new in the UK by Independent Importer' at the time. The bike had 3 former keepers, so I am the 4th and bought in January 2004.

The bike had been serviced at each required interval and stamped in the books previousl to 2004. It's last service (that included the belts) from a Ducati dealer was when I bought it in 2004 by On Yer Bike (@ 9550 miles). A year later, I did all of the needed 12k service with exception of the valve clearances. It got new Pirelli Diablos in April 2006 and was again serviced by me. In 2007 it had a general service done by Predator Motorsports. Its was then last generally serviced again (and an electrical issue fixed) by BikersRealm in January 2009. It has now done 14900 miles.

It has had a valid MOT and Taxed for all of its life except from May to July last year. I SORNed it for 3 months since I was travelling like mad for work so no time. It has a valid MOT and Tax until July 2009.

It has a K&N Oil and Air Filter, and NGK Plugs. It has Scotoiler installed. It is DataTagged and registered with them.

I am currently running it with high level carbon Sills exhaust. I have the original high level Ducati steel exhaust cans stored. I also have an extra set of side fairings that are painted black.

I know it is not a perfect history, but it runs nicely and can be very quick when needed or wanted. I have pictures from this past weekend but they seem to be too big to post.

I actually love the thing and want to keep it....However, I want an S4 more so the FE will have to go. Unless I can find a decent post 2001 Monster 750cc or greater for a decent price.

What do you all think?

Hi Miguel

As I said in my PM I got a fair bit for mine. Mine had the Silmoto cans but no originals. Service history was also sketchy and had a coupe of dodgy owners (Chi and Phil H).

Are you listed on Edwins FE register??
