Wheel stripes

I've just got some of those pinstripe stickers for my wheels and while it looks fairly straightforward has anyone else done these and if so how did you cover the embossed/recessed bits on the wheel edge(direction arrow etc)?

i have done mine its loads easier with the wheels off. Just lay it on its side and keep going round trying to keep the distance from the edge the same. I didnt have to bother with the directional arrow as mine dont have them on.

Good luck
