Well yeah, but we're talking from "my god I thought it was going to spit me off on the hairpin" to "yes, that felt nice" difference and not 0.02s per lap difference, aren't we!

Well that's kind of the point Andy - it may have been setup for your weight in a shop, but it's only when you get out there and try it that it may feel right or wrong.

I always thought that mine felt fine out on the road until the suspension expert had a quick fiddle and it felt miles better!

And for £35 for the whole day, it's great to have some knowledgeable help so cheap - even if you do come away with the same settings!

Now you see. I asked about having it set up "for my weight". However, according to god, the imput of your weight is minimal, compared to the forces on the suspension from the engine and brakes!

All suspension settings are a compromise, mines been set up by john, taking into account the experience of the last years testing and racing their 749!

Yeah, unless you're under 11 stone or over 15, the weight is not that much of an issue on the (decent!) Ducati suspension.

It's good to know you've had it setup according to JHP's bike, but you may feel it a bit harsh/soft, and this is the point I'm trying to make - spending £35 on having it setup for YOU is money well spent.

Wouldnt it be a good idea for one of those bike schools to do a suspension appreciation day!

You know, this one is set up to evidence this and again and again evidencing the feel of all the common suspension problems, so youd get to recognise these! Id go.........

Too right. There's some good articles on the net about what each thing does, but it's knowing things like "adding two clicks of this means you need to add a click of that" which is the art!
