Mood: going for a ride...
I would just like to say here that my 999S did 4k miles in a year with zero problems , ridden in all weathers and thrashed most of the time other than the first 600 miles.

The replacement 749R had done about 5k miles now in 15 months and has also had absolutely zero problems , again ridden in all weathers (most of the running in was in the rain) , starts first time every time , runs great , kicks ass and brings a smile to my face every time I look at it / get on it / start the engine / clean it.....in fact , you name it , everything about it makes me happy

For every good one there is a duff one. Point is when there is a problem all you want is action. This is where they have a lot to learn. Everything is great when it's running well.

My 999S had a 54mm full system fitted inc race ECU , filters etc , ran perfectly.

My 749R has an assymetric system fitted , also high flow filters , it's running the standard ECU , runs perfectly.

Hi All
Bike went in on Sat afternoon. So they could replace the race ECU with the standard one. After fitting standard one, the bike still ran like a dog. So they started looking into other things. The bike then spent the weekend in the dealers (they did loan me a ST1000 if you like they type of bike) So in the end the Ducati fitter found an air leak on the front rubber where it bolts on to the head. Rebuilt bike run with standard ECU all ok. Run then with the race ECU and every thing worked fine. Had the bike back yesterday but had no time to run it so i will be out tonight to see if every thing is working as it should be. Thanks to everyone with your responces it has made us smile when we felt low. (ttstu your one was the best)
