i didn't say do not change it ...... simply answered your question .... the statement was more addressed at your complaining about it rather than the solution you found ... you are free to do whatever you like to it ... at least with a 999 you can be confident that whatever you do you can't actually make it any uglier ....

ibrought a GP single seat rear cowl and had to mesh it because there was big gaps in it .the bloody thing cost me £425

Had a red frame on my 749 in mid 2003, plus a couple of extra rails ... looks awesome.
