Award winning Ducati prepares for MCN London show

Ducati heads towards the Capital for the MCN London Motorcycle Show on the back of yet another award winning year.

2008 saw the introduction of their strongest ever line-up which culminated in Ducati being crowned the MCN Manufacturer of the year and awarded Machine of the year for the legendry Desmosedici RR.

Amongst the highlights of the Show will be the new Streetfighter making its London debut at ExCel in Docklands. The 1098 powered naked bike boasts 155hp and with the Ducati Traction control and data logging as standard on the ‘S’ version, this will arguably become the most technologically advanced naked bike on the market when it hits showrooms in the Spring.

The Streetfighter will not be the only draw to the Ducati stand, also on display will be the latest evolution of the Monster range with the all new Monster 696 and Monster 1100 launched in 2008. The Monster 696 has become the fastest selling Monster in UK history and the Monster 1100 is expected to follow in similar footsteps now that the bike has arrived at UK dealerships. The new 1100 has been universally acclaimed since its launch and now customers have a chance to test ride this bike at dealerships nationwide.

For Sportsbike fans, there will be a well beaten path towards the Ducati Superbike area of the stand where the 1198S with its race-bred traction control will take its place alongside the race and legend-inspired 1098R Bayliss Replica. Both these bikes have laid their marker as significant contributors to technological and race achievements and will continue to be the benchmark Sportsbike established by its predecessor the 1098.

The Ducati stand at ExCel will again have the dedicated service area which has proved popular and informative to show goers in the past and will be manned by the award-winning Ducati After Sales team. The service area will feature an accessorised and stripped down Hypermotard showcasing Ducati Performance parts and the enviable Ducati quality that has enabled service costs to be reduced by up to 50%, courtesy of 7,500 mile service intervals across the range.

A Ducati display would not be complete without the 2009 clothing range which will also be available for purchase.

The MCN London Motorcycle takes place at ExCel from 29th January – 1st February and Ducati can be found in Hall on stand number N120
