There are some people in the UK and in Europe where you can do "whatever" you feel like with the ECU (change fuel and/or ignition maps, alter the rev limit, display a message on the instruments if it's a **9-848-1098...).
With Jasper we are probably talking about a P8 computer where it would be in the chip as it is with the 1.6M as you say there are people/companies that can alter parameters in the 5.9M ECU and this also applies to the 1.5M
