cambelt

can anyone advise where the cheapest place to get a cambelt for 03 999s si and roughly how much

thanks. can anyone advise if the belt for a 749s is the same as that for a 999s

Unless they have the same stroke but different bore sizes then I would say no they are not the same.

I'm pretty sure the 749 and the 999 use the same belts as does the 998
All that Era of Testastretta engines use the same and last time I bought a set tey cost me £135 a pair. Unlike the earlier engines, on the testastretta you are meant to lock the cams in place as you undo the cam pulley bolts when tensioning the belts allowing the pulleys to rotate whil the cams stay in position

must admit i thoight they would be same. ive seen some genuine ones on ebay currently a good price but listed as for 749s and am thinking they are worth a punt

Call your local dealer and find out the retail price first - very easy to do now you have the number.

There are quite a few chancers on ebay selling parts for more than list price!!

If you don't have a local friendly dealer, speak to Cornerspeed (Nelly on here) as he does mail order on parts and is a long-time supporter of the club.
