Angry Parts help - who's got an RS?

Hy Guys,

Well, after a fruitless search for the special bolt that the bottom of the RS battery box attaches too (no longer available from Ducati or Ducati Corse apparently!) does anyone have an RS and could take a couple of pics of the offending item and take some measurements for me?

I think my only option at this point is to have a couple made but without having the original part it's all guesswork!

Anybody????

Thanks, Neil.

P.S. If by some miracle there's one out there still in it's original parts bag, the part number is: 684.1.014.3A

Maybe worth trying ProTwins.

They don't have.

Tried basically the entire Ducati network in UK, Europe and the US.

Same story everywhere - "sorry mate, they're no longer available and we don't have one in stock" or whatever that translates to in Italian, German, French, Dutch etc etc.

So, back to square 1! Really need someone with an RS or access to one to break out the measuring stick.

Cheers, Neil.

I got one, an RS that is, but am jiggered if I know what bolt you are referrring to. Post a pic and I'll get it measured up. Might even be able to make you one up.

Thanks John!

Best I can do is a couple of shots from the RS parts cat. The "special bolt" is part number 13 (pic 1). It bolts onto the engine via the triangular water-way cover on the side of the horizontal cylinder. It is M6 threaded down the centre of it to accept the bolt (part no 38 in pic 2) that goes through the lower mount on the RS carbon battery box. It sits kinda directly behind the rec/reg.

Anyway, hopefully the attached pics will make everything clear!

Dimensions would be most helpful but if you think it's something you could replicate then that would be bleedin' marvelous!!!

Many thanks, Neil.
